1939 2nd Class Service Clasp . The clasp is made of silver-plated base metal. The piece is in very good, minimally worn condition, still clipped to its original ribbon. The silver plating is almost completely intact, with the swastika, edges, and date polished. No maker's mark is visible, but it is a known and reliable variant from the Wilhelm Deumer company of Lüdenscheid. All four prongs are present and intact, and the clasp is still clipped to its original 30 mm wide ribbon. Dimensions of the clasp: height 30 mm, width of wings 31 mm, width of date field 27 mm, measured at the widest point; weight: 6,73 g.
The clip in question is the second version, with straight sides on the date field. In the first version, these sides would be slightly rounded.
Very nice repeat brace, only minimally worn.
