Crimea shield on army fabric, Fridrich Orth, Vienna (fo), GCA Type 3.2

Crimean shield on military-grade fabric . The shield, made of bronzed sheet iron, is in very good, unworn condition. The bronze plating is complete. There is no discernible maker's mark, but it is a known variant by the company Friedrich Orth of Vienna (fo). See GCA database, type 3.2. All four prongs are present and intact. The backing plate is also made of thin sheet iron, without surface finishing; the green calico coating typical of Orth pieces is still approximately 90% intact. Dimensions of the shield itself: 52,35 mm wide and 61,57 mm high; the base material: 72,20 mm × 58,53 mm.
