Ground Combat Badge of the LuftwaffeThe badge itself is made of zinc, the separately riveted eagle overlay of silvered base metal. The piece is in very good, almost unworn condition overall. The oak leaf wreath is completely silvered, as are the cloud, the striking lightning bolt, and the base. The eagle overlay is also completely silvered. As is typical for this variant, it lacks a maker's mark but bears a typical badge of the Hammer & Söhn company from Geringswalde. See the GCA database. Dimensions: 57 × 42 mm, Weight: 35,5 g. Available with [additional cost] MB Photo Expertise.
